The guiding philosophy of this programme is empowering the next generation of India's transporters/ fleet owners to "Take forward their family business with their OWN vision", as put forward by Mr. Anand Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. while launching the programme at the Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Transport Excellence Awards ceremony on 9th Jan '13.

Speaking on the same occasion to the media, Mr. Nalin Mehta had also asserted that MTBL wants to walk the talk initiated a year ago, when we urged the next-gen of transporters to join their 'Papa ka Business' in our TV-led mass media campaign. After the Youth Transport Personality Awards, the MPOWER programme is a milestone achievement in terms of engagement with young transporters.

21 young transport entrepreneurs, chosen by invitation and belonging to some of the finest transport companies of India, checked in for the 13-day course which is aimed at professionalising the Indian transport sector in the long run. It is a course, which has been specifically designed keeping the transport sector issues in focus. Half a dozen highly accomplished faculty members of IIMA are running the course that covers subjects like professionalism, business planning, market and segments, HR practices, service quality, financial management and accounting, supply chain management, legal and regulatory, information technology, industry focused sessions. Just like the year before, Anantara Solutions is our partner is managing this programme.

The first and the second edition of MPOWER were successful not only in terms of establishing an emotional connect with the next-gen of transporters but also in terms of bringing our business and offerings in their focus. Moreover, the program helped build a strong foundation for business relations amongst the participants. This successful engagement has motivated us to reinvest in driving a positive change in the transport ecosystem while nurturing our business interest. We are confident that this programme too will be a grand success and will strengthen our brand as well as our other initiatives like the Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Transport Excellence Awards and the Outperformers League.

The programme, MPOWER, which commenced on the 13th of Jan 2014 will conclude on the Jan 25, 2014 with the valedictory session.
