Awards Timelines & Process

Timelines:

  • Entries close on 31st December 2019. Your entry should reach us by 31st December 2019. Late entries are liable to be rejected. Acceptance of late entries and/or extension of the last date for entries is at the sole discretion of the Awards Management. With the Festive Season approaching we request you to complete your entries well in advance in order to avoid last minute rush.
  • M&M reserves the right to change the timelines indicated above.
  • Efforts will be made to adhere to the defined timelines. However, the defined timelines are subject to change based on circumstances.
  • Awards Management and its sub-contractors shall not be held accountable / liable for any disruptions / stoppages / interruptions or cancellation of the Awards or its ceremony or any part of its processes on account of any factors beyond its control

The Awards Selection Process

  • The Awards Selection Process is explained in this section. This applies to all Award Categories other than those for which a separate process is outlined.
  • All entries will be checked for completeness, adherence to terms and conditions listed in the prospectus and entry forms, and adherence to qualification criteria for the respective award categories.
  • A Screening Jury comprising industry experts will select a shortlist of entries for presentation to Expert Jury wherever applicable.
  • There is a multiple layered filtration process followed to shortlist the entries.
  • In the event insufficient number of application forms for a category are found to be worthy of inclusion in the Awards, the shortlisted entries (excluding the Winners) of previous edition of Awards would be considered. In case, the combined entries are still insufficient or not found to be worthy of inclusion in the Awards the Award category may be cancelled at the discretion of Awards Management.
  • Short-listed applicants will be contacted by M&M. They will be provided with the date, venue and presentation format in which they would be required to present their application and case study to the Exert Jury, which comprises of Industry personalities from transport and other relevant sectors.
  • In most categories, nominations from the Expert Jury are forwarded to the Grand Jury for final selection of the Winners. In some categories the final Winners may be selected by the Expert Jury.
  • Expert Jury panel will be evaluating the entries.
  • In most categories, nominations from the Expert Jury are forwarded to the Grand Jury for final selection of the Winners. In some categories the final Winners may be selected by the Expert Jury.
  • The Grand Jury has in the past been appointed in coordination with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India, and has consisted of reputed individuals and senior government officials.

Jury members typically include:

  • Senior Government officials from Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
  • Logistics and transport professionals from end-user companies (past jury members have been from Castrol, Hewlett Packard, Ericsson, BASF, Finolex, etc.).
  • Supply Chain and Logistics faculty from leading academic institutions (e.g., IIM-Ahmedabad, IIT-Delhi, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Indian Maritime University, etc.).
  • Journalists and media representatives, including from supply chain and transport publications (Transtopics, CV Magazine, SCM Pro, Zee, etc.).

The Jury Process will commence after 20th December 2019. It may be required for a senior person representing the Entity, to make a presentation in person to the Expert Jury. Cost of travel and representing the Entity, to make a presentation in person to the Expert Jury. Cost of travel and other expenses relating to such in-person presentation will be the responsibility of the applicant.

The Awards Function will be held in New Delhi in early 2020, the date for which will be announced later.
